Chamber of Commerce and Industry – Stara Zagora Celebrated its 20th Anniversary

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry – Stara Zagora celebrated the 20th anniversary of its establishment. Among the official guests were the President of BCCI Tsvetan Simeonov, MP Plamen Rusev who is a long-standing member of the employers’ organization, Charge d’affaires a.i. of the Embassy of Indonesia H.E. Pranovo Praviro Kosumo, representatives of the diplomatic corps in Bulgaria, the Chairman of the Municipal Council of Stara Zagora Emil Hristov and the Deputy Mayor Yordan Nikolov.

All former Presidents and Co-Presidents of CCI – Stara Zagora since its establishment were also present at the celebration – Veselin Stanchev, Peycho Dinev, Spas Spasov and Mitko Dinev.

For its contribution to the achievement of the goals of the employers’ organization and 20 years in service to business, the President of BCCI Tsvetan Simeonov presented the President of CCI – Stara Zagora Oleg Stoilov with the sign of BCCI and an Honorary Diploma on the occasion of the anniversary.

Chamber of Commerce and Industry – Stara Zagora is among the leaders in BCCI’s unified system of regional chambers of commerce and in some aspects of the activity is the best one, said Tsvetan Simeonov in his congratulatory address. The Deputy Mayor of Stara Zagora Yordan Nikolov presented a Congratulatory Sign for merits on behalf of the Mayor Zhivko Todorov. “I know the work of CCI – Stara Zagora since its establishment, when my companies became members of the Chamber. In the past two years, as a Regional Governor I succesfully worked together with the Chamber during a number of initiatives and I will continue this cooperation in my capacity of Deputy Mayor”, said Mr. Nikolov.

The Chairman of the Municipal Council of Stara Zagora Emil Hristov also greeted the Chamber on its 20th anniversary and presented its President Oleg Stoilov with the Honorary Sign of the Municipality.

Congratulatory letters were sent from the Minister of Economy, Energy and Tourism Traycho Traykov, H.E. Mark Mihilsen – Ambassador of Belgium, Dr. Mariana Cholakova – Honorary Consul of Germany, Dr. Mitko Vasilev – Chief Manager of the German – Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the American Chamber of Commerce in Bulgaria, partner chambers and organizations from Belgium, France, Greece, Germany, Serbia, Romania, Regional Chambers of Commerce and Industry from the system of BCCI, organizations, institutions and companies from the entire country.

Mr. Oleg Stoilov awarded with an Order for Partnership BCCI, the President of Yambol Chamber of Commerce and Industry Stoycho Stoev, the Vice-President of Plovdiv Chamber of Commerce and Industry Angel Hronev, Yordan Nikolov - former Regional Governor of Stara Zagora, Trakia University - Stara Zagora, Space and Solar – Terrestrial Research Institute with the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, Regional Development Agency – Stara Zagora, Regional Environment and Water Inspectorate – Stara Zagora, Civil Union Ecocenter – Stara Zagora, Public Donation Fund – Stara Zagora. Honorary Diplomas were awarded to Veselin Stanchev – Co-President and President of the Chamber in the period 1991 – 1999, Peycho Dinev – Co-President in 1991, Spas Spasov – President (1991 – 1992) and Mitko Dinev – President in the period 1999 – 2005.

Honorary Diplomas for companies - founders and longstanding members of the Chamber received: Polimeta LTD., Hraninvest – Hranmashkomplekt AD, ZSK Borui AD, DZU AD, Preskov AD, Zvezda Buhchev – 3 LTD., Chisti klimatichni pomeshtenia AD.

Certificates for partnership were granted to: Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Interior – Stara Zagora, Regional Court Stara Zagora, National Revenue Agency, Office – Stara Zagora, Labour Office Directorate – Stara Zagora, Regional office of the Chamber of Builders in Bulgaria, Club of Employers – Stara Zagora, Labour Inspection Directorate – Stara Zagora, Regional Directorate of Forestry – Stara Zagora, Regional Health Inspection – Stara Zagora, Regional Museum of History – Stara Zagora, “Zaharii Knyazheski” Library and “Rodina” Library.

Awards for significant contribution to the founding and development of Chamber of Commerce and Industry – Stara Zagora were given to Anton Andronov, the first democratically elected Mayor of Stara Zagora and Bozhidar Bozhinov, President of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the period 1990 – 2009.
