The Commercial Counselor at the Embassy of Belarus visited BCCI
Tsvetan Simeonov, BCCI President had a discussion about the state of the commercial and economic relations between the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Bulgaria with Elena Kaloshkina, Commercial Counselor at the Embassy of Belarus in Sofia. It was ascertained that in order to boost the bilateral trade individual companies contacts needed to be developed and various forms of cooperation used – e.g. exhibitions, fairs, business forums, presentations, setting up business development centers in both countries etc.
Bulgaria has the potential to offer to export to Belarus products of the food industry and relevant equipment, electronics products, hoisting and hauling devices, compound fertilizers, leather shoes, men's and ladies apparel, metal-working machines, electric motors and generators, ceramic coverings and enamel tiling, ceramic sanitary ware, etc.
It was agreed during the meeting that next year BCCI would hold a forum for presenting the business opportunities in Belarus, focusing on a system of monitoring and handling of the commodity turnover of Belarus, consisting of licensing, quotas as well as regulation regarding the export of raw materials, other materials, fuels and consumer goods import.
Mrs. Kaloshkina provided relevant materials comprising economic and business information to BCCI library.
