The Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry is starting work on a new European project RIDE – Reach Inclusion through Digital Empowerment for migrant women. This is a project for the inclusion of migrant women and refugees in the labour market through digital activities and in so doing to boost their inclusion into the host society. At the same time, the project aims at empowering immigrant women through a peer-to-peer approach and design together with them new paths of recognition, self-esteem and capacity building for themselves and for a better society.
The two main objectives come together on two parallel tracks: while the first is mainly focused on hard skills in terms of learning, the second will develop throughout the entire duration of the project thanks to several sharing and supporting tools such as focus groups, circle methodology and mentorships.
The project involves 7countries (Belgium, The Netherlands, Czech Republic, Germany, Italy, Greece, Bulgaria) with 6 local organizations and 3 EU-level partners. The Consortium, as it has been designed, insured that the focus of the action will be highly rooted not only in the local territories where the organizations are coming from but also on a wider European level, shaping a pilot network that can be the beginning of further actions beyond the end of the project. The partners are representatives of Chambers of Commerce, private companies and social enterprises.
The main activities of the project in which the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry will take part are: National Information day, sessions for mentoring and training of migrant and refugee women, IT training, etc.
