Problems in the field of competitiveness were discussed with representatives of the World Bank at BCCI
Competitiveness and business environment in Bulgaria were among the main topics discussed by the Secretary General of BCCI Vasil Todorov and representatives of the World Bank Alvaro Gonzalez, Lead Economist and Evgeni Evgeniev, Private Sector Development Specialist.
Main accents of the World Bank research on competitiveness in Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary and Serbia were presented during the meeting.
Vasil Todorov shared BCCI’s position regarding the recently discussed draft-bill in the field of competitiveness related to introducing the term for “abuse of significant market power”. Special attention was paid to other problems, such as the multiple regulations which place additional burden on businesses, the frequent changes introduced in legislation without preliminary impact assessment and the delayed implementation of e-Government.
BCCI expressed support for World Bank projects aimed at facilitating the conditions for making business in Bulgaria.
