Business will judge the new ministers by their actions
The National Assembly has elected on May 29th, 2013 Plamen Oresharski as the next Prime Minister of Republic of Bulgaria. The deputies have approved his proposal for structure of the government and voted its members.
“The stated government priorities and intentions from Plamen Oresharski, deserve support. The government institutions need more transparency, cooperation and dialogue with the social partners. The business got answers to the most important questions which have risen in the recent years – decreasing of the administrative burden; precise control on tax payment and tax evasion; precise control and counteraction to monopolies, avoidance of false monopoly establishments, more business freedom. This is extremely important for the development of the entrepreneurial initiative .” These are the words of the President of BCCI Tsvetan Simeonov said at the premises of the parliament before the election of the new ”Oresharski” government.
“An important question has been answered which concerns not only the Bulgarian, but the foreign investors – predictability of the economic policy”, said Simeonov. He highlighted the importance of the sustainable economic environment , encouragement of new technologies development, improvement of education and training. He also expressed hopes about the further improvement of the country’s infrastructure.
“In today’s statement of Mr. Plamen Oresharski, we didn’t hear he mentioned the need of renewal of the tripartite dialogue, but as far as there are statements of this kind, we hope that it will happen, said the president of BCCI . He retrieved that all of the parliamentary presented parties promised before the elections to restore the previous regulations of the Public Disclosure of the Property of Senior Government Officials, Public Officials and Officials in Other Positions in the Public and Private Sectors Act
so as not to infringe the constitutional provisions and obligations of Bulgaria within the international acts, mainly in compliance with the freedom of association.
In the words of the President of the BCCI the business would support the social part of the proposed program including better care for pensioners, children and youth, as well as encouraging birth rate. “We would like to see more clear parameters in sphere of the healthcare. The healthcare access should be based and developed on strict control of spendings, reforms and transparency” stated also Tsvetan Simeonov.
Concerning the composition of the government, he stated that the basic request of the business – to have a maximum expert government, on this stage has been fulfilled. ” Of course, there are less experienced people in some relevant areas , but contrary to that, they are young and more ambitious”, commented Tsvetan Simeonov. “BCCI will not evaluate in advance the new ministers. We will judge them by their actions in the sectors they are working in.” he said and confirmed the will of the business to support the implementation of good ideas. He didn’t forget to mention that the business representatives would like to save the macroeconomic stability, to avoid sudden tax changes, so not to chase the investors, Bulgarian or foreign.
