BCCI bestowed its Annual Awards for 2011

The Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) bestowed its traditional Annual Awards for the 18th consecutive year. The ceremony was held at Sheraton Hotel Sofia Balkan on 1st December 2011.

Representatives of Bulgarian business were presented with the largest number of awards. The prize for highest results on alteration of sales revenue 2010/2009 was awarded to “Thracian Cliffs Golf and Spa Resort” EAD. The award for highest value of profit in BGN on 100 BGN equity in 2010 was received by “Oriflame Bulgaria” EOOD.

“BG Agro” AD was awarded First place in the category “TOP 100 Companies, classified on maximum value of profit in BGN on 100 BGN sales revenue in 2010”.

In BCCI’s classification “TOP 10X6” companies, classified on maximum value of sales revenue for 2010 (BGN th.) in the National Planning Regions, with Plaque and Honorary Diploma were awarded the companies:

“Enemona” AD, Kozloduy (North-West Planning Region), “Ideal Standard – Vidima” AD, Sevlievo (North-Central Planning Region), “Solvay Sodi” AD, Devnya (North-East Planning Region), “Natsionalna Elektricheska Kompania” EAD, Sofia (South-West Planning Region), “KCM” AD, Plovdiv (South-Central Planning Region) and “Nafta-Trading” AD, Bourgas (South-East Planning Region). 


In the category “50 Companies with sales revenue below 3900 th. BGN, classified on alteration of sales revenue 2010/2009” the prize was won by company “Dabrava 99” AD, Burgas and in the category “25 companies classified on alteration of the financial result in 2010 and 2009” by “Electricity System Operator” EAD, Sofia.


The award for Regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the system of BCCI was won by Plovdiv Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The Bulgarian Association for Geotechnical and Tunnel Construction was elected Sectorial Organization of the year.


The Ambassador of Hungary to Bulgaria, H.E. Mrs. Judit Lang received an award for her contribution to the bilateral economic relations and consistent commitment to BCCI’s endeavors. In the category “Commercial Counselor”, Mrs. Grazyna Chorazykiewicz, Commercial Counselor, Head of Department for Promotion of Trade and Investments at the Embassy of Poland to Bulgaria was awarded. This year a new category was added to distinguish a Commercial and Economic Office of Bulgarian diplomatic mission abroad for significant contribution to the development of bilateral trade, tourism, export and attracting foreign investments to Bulgaria. The Commercial Offices in Austria, India, Russia and Turkey were nominated, but the bronze statuette “Hermes” went to the Commercial and Economic Office of the Republic of Bulgaria in Austria. The Deputy Minister of Economy, Energy and Trade Ivo Marinov, who was a special guest to the event, accepted the award. 
 
BCCI preserved the tradition of awarding a media and a journalist for objective covering of the positions of BCCI and its members on topical business issues. The media award was granted to the Bulgarian National Radio, and the journalist prize was won by Rosinka Prodanova, journalist in Radio Blagoevgrad.


In the closing part of the ceremony, the President of BCCI Tsvetan Simeonov presented the exhibiting companies, which participated in the ceremony with degustation stands. The main sponsor of the event “Arteks Engineering” AD and the exhibiting companies which contributed to the organization of the Annual Awards ceremony, received from the President of the Chamber Diplomas for Licensed Supplier and a Trade Directory of Companies – 2011. Tsvetan Simeonov congratulated the awardees for the achieved results in the year and proposed a toast with a glass of Bulgarian wine, wishing everyone even better results and bigger achievements in 2012.
