The bilateral economic relations Bulgaria - Indonesia discussed

During a working meeting with the Ambassador of Indonesia to Bulgaria H.E. Sri Astari Rasjid, the President of BCCI Mr.Tsvetan Simeonov discussed the bilateral economic relations between Bulgaria and Indonesia. Representatives of the Indonesian Embassy in Sofia also attended the meeting.

The BCCI President expressed his condolences for the victims of the destructive earthquake in Indonesia last week.

Ambassador Rasjid is also accredited for Macedonia and Albania. During the meeting she has provided information on the upcoming 33^rd  Trade Expo Indonesia, which will be held on 24 - 28 October 2018. A visit of representatives of travel companies and journalists from Bulgaria to Indonesia is prepared for the autumn of this year, so they can get acquainted with the opportunities for tourist exchange. Indonesian companies to participate in the fashion week in Sofia, as well as a visit of businessmen from the eastern country to Bulgaria next year are also expected.

Mr.Simeonov proposed BCCI to host an information event for Indonesia in which representatives of the Bulgarian business to get to know more about the progress of the economic development in Indonesia, the conditions for doing business, the investment climate, etc.

The Indonesian Ambassador concurred to the idea and said that such events, within the forthcoming economic fora for the Western Balkans, are planned for the next year in several capitals in the region.

The business partnerships between companies from both countries in areas such as energy, renewable energy, food industry, seafood, coffee, coconut and palm oil, etc. were also discussed during the meeting.
