H. Exc. Marcie Ries, U.S. Ambassador to Bulgaria, visited BCCI
H. Exc. Marcie Ries, Ambassador of the United States of America to Bulgaria visited BCCI, accompanied by Elina Caunite, Economic Officer, U.S. Embassy Sofia.
BCCI’s President Tsvetan Simeonov presented the wide range of services and initiatives of the Chamber in support of entrepreneurs. The discussion emphasized on the voluntary Trade register and the forms of membership in the Chamber, the implementation of international standards and dispute resolution through the Arbitration Court with BCCI.
H. Exc. Marcie Ries and Tsvetan Simeonov discussed the need to enhance cooperation between Bulgaria and the United States on the basis of the untapped potential hitherto.
BCCI President summarized the most important, according to the members of the Chamber, steps to improve the economic situation in Bulgaria, namely the introduction of e-government, stability and predictability of law, public procurement terms, combating gray economy and corruption.
The U.S. Ambassador and BCCI’s President confirmed their willingness for cooperation and new initiatives.
