The New Head of Commercial and Economic Section of the Embassy of Bulgaria in New Delhi visited BCCI
On 25 October 2011, the new Head of Commercial and Economic Section of the Embassy of Bulgaria in New Delhi, India Mr. Stefan Yonkov visited BCCI and met with its President Mr. Tsvetan Simeonov.
Bilateral commercial and economic relations were discussed. It was explained that Bulgaria purchases basic pharmaceutical substances from India. There are great opportunities to distribute products of the Bulgarian machine-building and military industry in India. Mr. Yonkov emphasized the following promising sectors for bilateral commercial relations: agriculture – production of seeds, textile industry, cosmetic industry, IT, etc.
Mr. Simeonov presented BCCI’s relations with partners from India, which date back to 1965 when the first cooperation agreement in the field of commercial arbitration was signed. The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry is BCCI’s main partner.
Plans for future mutual work were outlined, including participation of Indian companies in international exhibitions in Bulgaria, organizing presentations and bilateral meetings, exchanging business delegations and economic information.
