The Commercial and Economic Office in the United Kingdom is the most successful Bulgarian commercial section abroad for 2016







During an official ceremony held at BCCI, the awards for the most active Commercial and Economic Offices of Bulgaria abroad for 2016 were bestowed.

The big prize - bronze statuette “Hermes” and a Diploma went to the Bulgarian Commercial and Economic Office in the United Kingdom, ranked first place with indisputable results for 2016. The award is given for contribution to the development of the trade and economic relations between Bulgaria and the United Kingdom, increasing Bulgarian exports abroad, growth of foreign investments in Bulgaria and support for achieving the tasks and goals of BCCI. The award was presented by the Deputy Minister of Economy Aleksandar Manolev.

The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Todor Stoyanov presented the award, an Honorary Diploma, to the second place winner – the Bulgarian Commercial Section in Uzbekistan.

The Commercial and Economic Office of Bulgaria in Vietnam was awarded third place. The Honorary Diploma was presented by the President of BCCI Tsvetan Simeonov.

The Bulgarian commercial sections in Canada, Sweden and Greece, which were the other nominees in the classification also received diplomas.

A number of other commercial sections also received high praise for their active work in support of business, including the Commercial and Economic Offices in Germany, Egypt, Italy, Lebanon and Romania.

The criteria for nomination and ranking of the most successful Bulgarian commercial sections abroad are adopted by BCCI in cooperation with the Ministry of Economy.

The President of BCCI congratulated the Bulgarian Commercial Attachés that attended the ceremony and expressed readiness on behalf of BCCI to assist them in the execution of their tasks abroad and wished them to continue their active work and to successfully take part in next year’s classification.

The event was organized with the assistance of Enterprise Europe Network at BCCI.
