BCCI presents a mobile application for the verification of barcodes “BG Barcode”



A mobile application has been developed for the verification of barcodes, as promised by the BCCI at the conclusion of the last Christmas Pact for the non-admission of non-conforming and unsafe products. “BG Barcode” application is already in operation providing free information to consumers, who enable it into their mobile phones. Thanks to “BG Barcode” companies and individuals may already have a safe and free tool for verifying the legitimacy of the product codes.
 
This is another step in the efforts of the BCCI to support fair competition on the market and create conditions for the consumers to make an aware choice in their decisions.
 
The new mobile application “BG Barcode” will be presented before the audience and demonstrated at a press conference at the BCCI on 8th April 2014, Tuesday, 10.30 am. It will be attended by the President of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Tsvetan Simeonov, experts from GS1 Bulgaria Board with the BCCI. Representatives of the Commission for Protection of Competition, Commission for Consumer Protection and the Association for Modern Retail have been invited to participate.
