Meeting a delegation from Bremen on issues related to the education in Bulgaria
Opportunities for improving the education in Bulgaria were discussed at a meeting at the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry by the delegates from the Vocational College of Bremen in Germany, and the President of the Chamber, Mr. Tsvetan Simeonov. The guests were accompanied by Mr. Samuil Sheynin, President of the Union of Employers in the public education system in Bulgaria, and representatives of the Regional Education Inspectorate from the town of Pernik.
During the discussion Tsvetan Simeonov presented the assessment of the business to the education of the young people in our country, and recommendations for achieving better results in training. He made the guests acquainted with the results of a recently conducted survey among members of the Chamber on this subject.
The opinion of the businesses about the introduction of the dual system of training in Bulgaria and financing education were among the issues that sparked the interest of the German delegation.
The President of the BCCI expressed the view that money should follow the student. For example, part of it should go to the university when starting the training, another one – on graduating, and the rest of it after a certain period of beginning to work in the respective field.
