Guidelines on the successful cross-border business in the EU were presented at a seminar in Sofia
What measures is the EU undertaking in order to facilitate the businesses and the collection of cross-border liabilities within the united market – this was subject to the seminar’s discussion in Sofia between business representatives, organisations and the European Commission. The seminar was organized by the Directorate General “Enterprises and Industry” of the European Commission and the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. During the discussions some guidelines were presented as regards the cross-border loans and receivables management.
Aglika Sabeva-Tsvetanova from the EC Representation in Bulgaria stated that the EC is working hard for the issued guidelines to the examination of the credit worthiness and debt collection in economic activities of international character to be accepted into the European area – starting with training school programs until being used by the existing businesses.
The President of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Tsvetan Simeonov, said that the Chamber supports every project which comes in real help to the small and medium-sized enterprises, as everywhere talks about supporting them are spread, but the real steps thereto are small. He outlined the wide range of the services the Chamber provides, covering a whole variety of activities starting from the establishment of a company and the choice of a partner, to doing business and protecting the company in cases of unfavorable partnership development.
President Simeonov also noted that the BCCI together with Coface Bulgaria issue an Excellent SME Certificates to the small and medium-sized enterprises which show the stability of the companies.
The economic and legal aspects of the measures aiming at facilitating the business in collecting the cross-border liabilities were presented and discussed during the seminar.
