Meeting with the Ambassador of Kosovo H.E. Delfin Plana

Ambassador of Kosovo H.E. Delfin Plana visited BCCI and held talks with its President Tsvetan Simeonov. The meeting was also attended by Bujar Deskai, Counsellor at the Embassy.

Next steps for the development of trade and economic relations between the two countries were discussed. The need to strengthen cooperation was noted. In this regard, Ambassador Plana informed about an upcoming visit to Sofia, at the end of May, of a business delegation from Kosovo and the organization of a business forum jointly with BCCI and the Business Alliance of Kosovo.

On his part, Mr. Simeonov briefed the guests on the information offered by the BCCI's Trade Register, as well as on the procedure for issuing an ATA Carnet.

According to the Bulgarian Ministry of Economy and Industry, when comparing the data for the first half of 2022 and 2021:

• 64.1% growth in trade;
• an increase in exports by 54.5%;
• growth in imports by 12.1%;
• positive trade balance for Bulgaria, worth 44.9 million euro.
