BCCI Officially Presented Electronic Commerce Grid - EComGrid

During the first day of the Spring International Fair in Plovdiv, the President of BCCI Tsvetan Simeonov and the partners from Polygon Group officially presented the joint project in service to small and medium-sized business EComGrid.
An internet portal called EСomGrid (Electronic Commerce Grid) was developed to realize the aims of the project.
This is an opportunity for each company to achieve electronic interchange of product and marketing information, said Mr. Niv Schwarz of the Israel group which has been running this platform in the USA and Israel for 12 years.
Now to the two languages of business – English and Hebrew, information in Bulgarian will be added as well. The electronic platform relies on the highest standards of GS1 and practically serves as a Schengen zone for companies – the ones that have entered it are no longer stopped at the borders – Mr. Tsvetan Simeonov figuratively described the initiative during the presentation to Bulgarian and European companies.
Some of the advantages for Bulgarian companies registered in the Portal include direct access to international markets; providing basic company information and details about the products they manufacture and sell; for SMEs this is an opportunity to present and advertise their products/services without incurring additional expenses, including expenses for the creation of their own websites, as well as a chance to easily find partners.
The Portal will provide direct contact between companies and will facilitate relations between them. Through it each company will be able to send information and messages to companies included in the commercial circle created by it.
BCCI will provide full servicing to companies that wish to register in the Portal through a package of services, which includes:
- BCCI’s operator entering the Company profile information;
- description of products/services;
- taking photographs of the products;
- measuring the products in BCCI’s specially equipped laboratory or directly on the spot at the company’s premises;
- information about the type, dimensions and measurements of the packaging;
- consultations about the GDSN standards (Global Data Synchronization Network), which are extremely important for international trade;
- translation of the information in English.
The test version of the Portal www.tradenet1.com. was presented.
BCCI has entered in it basic information about 6475 companies (name, address, contact details, business activity), which will only add detailed information about their products and services. In this way the Portal will meet the high requirements of entrepreneurs and will assist them in establishing future partnerships.
By the end of 2011 registration of companies in the Portal is free.
After the final version of the Portal is launched, the services will be provided against a fee. BCCI’s members will use discounts: 10% for the associated members and the members of GS1 Bulgaria, and 20% for the direct members of the Chamber.
