The Commercial Attaché at the Embassy of Ireland visited BCCI



The newly-appointed Commercial Attaché at the Embassy of Ireland Liviu Buzila visited BCCI. Patrick Coleman, Deputy Head of Ireland’s Mission in Sofia also took part in the meeting. The Secretary General of BCCI discussed with the guests the opportunities for cooperation, promotion of the bilateral investments, and sectors of mutual interest. The participants in the meeting agreed that Bulgarian and Irish companies can cooperate in the field of agriculture, food industry, tourism, education, ICT, financial services. Mr. Buzila, whose office is situated in Bucharest and is also responsible for Bulgaria, Macedonia, Moldova and Romania, said that a number of Irish companies working in markets in neighbouring Balkan countries such as Romania and Macedonia are seeking to expand into Bulgaria.

Vasil Todorov informed that 16 companies with capital from Ireland and 17 commercial representation offices of Irish companies are registered at BCCI. He presented the Chamber’s activities in support of entrepreneurs – maintaining an electronic trade register, issuing foreign trade documents, including Certificates of Origin, commercial arbitration, organising bilateral business meetings in order to find partners, suppliers and investors, etc.
