The newly-appointed Ambassador of Ireland to Bulgaria got acquainted to BCCI’s activity







The newly-appointed Ambassador of Ireland to Bulgaria H.E. Mr. Michael Forbes visited BCCI and met with President Tsvetan Simeonov only a month after he received his accreditation.

Mr. Simeonov introduced his guest to the 121-year-history of BCCI and some of the unique services it offers – the international standards in trade of GS1 Bulgaria, ATA Carnets for temporary admission of goods, the economic classification “TOP 100 Companies leading in the Bulgarian economy”, statistics of the highest ranking 1500 Bulgarian companies, etc. He pointed out that the Chamber has recently been recognized as nationally representative employers’ organization and is coordinator of the nationally representative employers’ organizations for 2016.

H.E. Michael Forbes was also informed about the actively working network of 28 regional chambers of commerce and industry and the Council of Sectorial Organizations with BCCI, which can provide assistance during visits in the country – organization of regional meetings and trips to companies in specific sectors.

BCCI’s cooperation with partners from Ireland was also discussed. The President of BCCI presented the Chamber’s membership in international organizations and informed the Ambassador about the activity of the Club of Joint and Foreign Chambers at BCCI.

Emphasis was also placed on the services which BCCI provides in support of business, regardless of the nationality of the investor: http://www.bcci.bg/bcci-services.html. A real-time demonstration of the Voluntary Unified Trade Register of BCCI and the Arbitration Court at the Chamber was made.
