BCCI is searching for new markets for the Bulgarian dairy products
The Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry came forward to the request of the National Dairy Association to render urgent assistance in finding new trade partners and markets to realize their production.
After Russia announced restrictions on the imports of food products coming from the EU, as part of the embargo imposed, the Bulgarian producers and exporters of dairy products such as milk, butter, cheese etc. are expecting to face difficulties and even bankruptcies.
At a meeting last week between the management of the BCCI and the National Dairy Association the possible alternatives and solutions were discussed to cope with the occurred situation.
BCCI immediately notified the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, the Ministry of Economy and Energy, including the Economic and Commercial Service Offices of Bulgaria abroad (ECSO) on the need to locate new partners and markets for the Bulgarian dairy production.
ECSO leaders responded fast by providing with information on the markets of the corresponding country, on branch organisations and specialized exhibitions in this sector, as regards the contacts with potential partners and price range of the dairy products. Exploring new opportunities to realize Bulgarian products is still going-on.
BCCI will continue to timely respond to the needs of the sectorial organisations and the Bulgarian businesses.
