BCCI and the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey – cooperation in support of business between Bulgaria and Turkey

The newly appointed Commercial Counsellor at the Turkish Embassy – Emrah Sazak was introduced to the BCCI’s President Tsvetan Simeonov by the acting to date Commercial Counsellor Zafer Soylu.

Tsvetan Simeonov expressed satisfaction of the joint work with the acting to date Commercial Counsellor Zafer Soylu during his last term-of-office, who extended thanks for the successful cooperation with the management and staff of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Emrah Sazak was introduced to the relations and common activities between the BCCI and its Turkish counterparts – members of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey – ТОВВ.

This cooperation has been realized on both bilateral and regional level – within the Association of Balkan Chambers (АВС), the Business Council of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) and the structure of EUROCHAMBRES, noted Tsvetan Simeonov.

He presented to the new Commercial Counsellor the mobile applications of the BCCI’s information network and explained the benefits of the various databases which the Chamber provides in support to business.

They also discussed the assistance rendered to business by the Chamber through the activities of the Arbitration Court within the structure of the BCCI, as means to resolve commercial disputes by adding relevant arbitration clauses into the agreements between companies. In many cases the very existence of such a clause in the contract works preventively towards the partners, who under the pressure of the economic situation face the alternative to breach one or another agreement.

Both sides expressed confidence that the bilateral cooperation in support to Bulgarian and Turkish business will successfully continue in the future.
