Meeting with H.E. Mr. Marc Holland, Acting Deputy Head of Mission at the British Embassy in Bulgaria





Deputy Head of Mission at the Department for Europe's Future with the British Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Marc Holland, who is currently Acting British Ambassador to Bulgaria, visited the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and met with the President of the Chamber, Mr. Tsvetan Simeonov.
 
Issues related to the need to reform the European Union and the European administration in particular, were discussed at the meeting. The talk was focused on the necessity to create more favorable environment for the development of the small and medium-sized enterprises by optimizing the legislation at European and national level in order to increase the competitiveness of the European economy in general.
 
Tsvetan Simeonov introduced the guest to the Chamber's applied method of continuous consultations with its members on importan decisions related to legislative changes or policy amendments as regards the business. He also presented BCCI's draft proposal for legislative measures towards the alleviation of the administrative burden to the micro, small and medium-sized enterprises.
 
The interlocutors solid agreed that the principle: „Think Small First” should be guiding in formulating policies towards business both at national, and at European level.
