Meeting with the CEFTA-DIHK Project Manager

On 16 November 2011, the Manager of the CEFTA-DIHK Project Edward Schwarz visited BCCI and met with its President Tsvetan Simeonov. Joint activities were discussed under the project of which BCCI is a partner.

The project unites the chambers of commerce and industry of the CEFTA countries. As part of the project in 2011 in Bulgaria a seminar was held on developing a road map for the application of the Free Trade Agreement in Southeastern Europe. BCCI assisted the Chamber of Commerce of Kosovo in setting up an Arbitration court. Besides, by the end of the year a “Catalogue of Fairs and Exhibitions in Southeastern Europe in 2012” will be published. All these activities are carried out with the financial support of the CEFTA-DIHK Project.

During the meeting, the parties agreed that the next seminar on planning the activities of the Project will be held in Sofia, in April 2012. Other important events which will take place during the following period include a conference on investments in Moldova, a round of presentations of CEFTA in Germany, meetings of the working groups under the project, etc.
