International Conference under PROCEED Project Tomorrow at BCCI

 
PROCEED Project is performed under the 7th Framework Programme and is focused on problems related to air pollution, chemical pollution and environmental technologies. A database of innovative environmental research practices in Central and Eastern European countries will be developed and the existing channels and means of communication of environmental research results in Europe will be analyzed. The main goal of the project is to define a methodology for selection of environmental research practices and results in Central and Eastern European countries and to choose the best of them.
15 partner organizations from 12 European countries participate in the project, including organizations from 9 Central and Eastern European countries:
- 6 new EU member-states – Romania, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia
- 3 pre-accession states – Croatia, Macedonia, Serbia
- 3 old member-states – Greece, Italy and Denmark
All 12 countries are presented by at least one organization member of the Enterprise Europe Network, which will be the main communication channel within European borders and beyond them, including in China and the USA.
Role of BCCI role in its participation in EU projects: 
Taking into consideration the interests of its members, BCCI is actively engaged in the implementation of EU projects under:
-  the 7th Framework Programme (WASTEKIT and PROCEED)  
-  Intelligent Energy Europe (REE_TROFIT, CHANGE)
-  Entrepreneurship and Innovation Program (GREEN, WEEEN)
In addition to its direct members, the Chamber attracts the state administration, municipal organizations and branch associations to participate in these projects and actively supports the establishment of clusters for efficient assistance of SMEs and increasing their competitiveness, innovation capacity and energy efficiency.
