Business Delegation from Lorestan Province, Iran visited BCCI









 On 31 May 2011, the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry hosted a Bulgaria - Iran Business Forum, which was attended by businessmen from the Iranian province Lorestan and Bulgarian entrepreneurs, members of the BCCI.

Mr. Tsvetan Simeonov, BCCI President welcomed the businessmen from the two countries and said there are a lot of opportunities for cooperation, especially in the sectors facing stones processing, agriculture, stock-breeding, pharmacy, machine building, vehicle production, processing of semi-precious stones, crafts, tourism. According to him, the Bulgarian visit of the President of Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Mines in February this year provided a good basis for the current event. 

Mr. Habibolah Dehmarde, Governor of Lorestan Province, Iran also greeted the participants in the forum saying that what Bulgaria and Iran have in common is more than some old Farsi words which entered Bulgarian language. The two countries share common economic and business interests. During his visit in Bulgaria, the Governor of Lorestan signed an agreement for administrative cooperation with the Governor of Stara Zagora Region, Mr. Yordan Nikolov. H.Ex. Mr. Gholamreza Bagheri Moghaddam, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Bulgaria also took part in the forum.
The economic conditions and investment climate in Bulgaria were presented to the participants by Mr. Julian Balchev, representative of InvestBulgaria Agency.

The Iranian companies, members of the Khorramabad Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Mines met with potential partners – Bulgarian companies, members of the BCCI. The visit of the Iranian delegation will continue until 2 June 2011.
