Growing trade with Belarus, Bulgarian investments also increase



During a meeting held at BCCI between H.E. Vladimir Voronkovich, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus in Sofia and the President of BCCI Tsvetan Simeonov, the new Commercial Counsellor of the Embassy of Belarus Mr. Oleg Belov was introduced.
The state of bilateral trade and investments was reviewed. The data for 2014 show an increase in the total turnover by 34.8% compared to the previous year. Imports and exports of goods between the two countries have maintained their traditional positions, and the trade balance is positive for Bulgaria.
 
H.E. Vladimir Voronkovich informed about the upcoming international conference in Belarus on theme: “Promoting sustainable industrial development in the middle-income European and Central Asian countries through innovation and technology: needs, potential and good practices”, which will take place on 23rd and 24th April. An agreement was reached to expand the cooperation between the chambers of commerce and industry of Bulgaria and Belarus both on national and regional level.
 
Later this year a seminar will be held at BCCI on the economic environment and business opportunities offered by Belarus.
