The newly appointed Economic and Commercial Counsellor of Belgium visited the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry



 
A meeting was held between the newly appointed Economic and Commercial Counsellor with the Embassy of the Kingdom of Belgium to Bulgaria, Ms. Anne Defourney, and the President of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Tsvetan Simeonov.
 
Anne Defourney described the goals and objectives set within her tenure in Sofia, such as promoting Belgium, intensifying the bilateral trade and exchange of economic information. She said that beside Bulgaria she is also responsible for Macedonia. Bulgarian-Belgian business forum is in the focus of planning. 
 
The President of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry introduced the guest to the activities of the Chamber in support to business as well as to the services it provides, the membership in international organisations, the activities of the Unified Trade Register and the Court of Arbitration, organizing bilateral business forums, company presentations etc. Anne Defourney was also given extensive information about the activities of the National Council for Tripartite Cooperation. 
 
BCCI will provide full support to the Trade Department at the Embassy for implementing future initiatives related to the improvement of the economic relations between Bulgaria and Belgium.
