BCCI hosted the meeting of the Club of the Bulgarian-Japanese Economic Council with the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, which marked the start of the Japanese economic week in Bulgaria (from 4th to 8th November 2013).
BCCI’s Vice-President Georgi Stoev, who is also Vice-President of the Council, presented before the members of the Council the envisaged events, such as the bestowal of the Japanese Award for Quality “Bosei“, and the celebration of the 20th anniversary of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). The Bulgarian-Japanese Economic Council elected, in accordance with its valid Statute, the Minister of Economy and Energy Dragomir Stoynev, as its honorary chairman.
Vice-President of Economy and Energy Krasin Dimitrov and the President of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Tsvetan Simeonov bestowed the restaurant chain of “Happy Bar & Grill” with the Japanese Award for Quality “Bosei” along with a Diploma for the brand “Happy Sushi” and their achievements in implementing the good practices of the Japanese quality management and promoting the Japanese cuisine in Bulgaria. Special attendance in the awarding ceremony was paid by the Ambassador of Japan to Bulgaria H.E. Takashi Koizumi. The “Bosei” award is being given for the fourth consecutive time.
* The “Bosei” award was established in 2008 by the Institute of Postgraduate Studies with the University of National and World Economy in Sofia, the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Association of Bulgarians specialized in Japan, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and the Association for Overseas Technical Scholarship (AOTS). The award is given for achievements in implementing the good practices of the Japanese management and high quality in the implementation of the concept for total quality management in Bulgaria.
