Implementing innovative ideas for the development of the cultural heritage in Bulgaria



Meeting of the partners under the SAGITTARIUS Project was held on 4th – 5th November 2013 in the city of Ptuj, Slovenia. Representatives from seven countries attended the event – Bulgaria, Greece, Italy, Romania, Slovenia, Hungary and Croatia.
 
The SAGITTARIUS Project aims to promote the cultural and historical heritage of the countries of Southeast Europe in order to make them an attractive tourist destination, as well as to support and promote the investments in the undeveloped cultural and historical sites. 
 
A demo version of the mobile application of the “Traveling museum” – a joint initiative of the partners, was presented at the meeting. This mobile application is available for mobile devices with Android and IOS operating systems. It includes about 120 cultural and historical sites of Southeast Europe, interesting facts and around 1200 photos. A “fun game” is to be developed and will also be included in the mobile application.
 
The Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry has been involved in making a promotional film about the cultural and historical monuments of Southeast Europe, which will include the materials of the seven countries participating in the project.
