The Bulgarian-Chinese business forum ended with signing of commercial contracts
Bulgarian traditional goods our country is famous for in Asian countries and China could be better presented on these markets. This became clear at the Bulgarian-Chinese business forum in Sofia, organized in the partnership of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce, the Ministry of Economy, Energy and Tourism of Bulgaria, the Ministry of Commerce of China and the Embassy of P.R.China.
The event was officially inaugurated by H. Exc. Guo Yezhou, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Bulgaria. He underlined that the forum was in the context of the intentions of his country to allocate USD 10 billion loan to the countries of Central and Eastern Europe.
Tsvetan Simeonov, BCCI’s President, presented the opportunities for investment in Bulgaria. He pointed out the main advantages of our country as a partner of China. One of them is the proximity of Bulgaria (as an EU member) to the economies of the Far East, including China, compared to other EU countries. Low taxes are another advantage and in terms of business confidence Bulgaria ranks fifth among the 27 EU countries, according to Eurochambres.
During the forum the "Peshtera Winery" and the Chinese "Sinopharm plastic" signed an agreement of intent for export of Bulgarian wine to the total value of USD 5 million and “Cabacum Group" and the Chinese "Sinopharm Group" – for the export of sunflower oil to the total value of EUR1.5 million.
