Geneva hosted the General Council of the International Organization of Employers
On 4th June the General Council of the International Organization of Employers (IOE) was held in Geneva, Switzerland. The Association of the Organizations of Bulgarian Employers, which is an IOE member, was represented at the forum by BCCI’s Secretary-General Vassil Todorov.
Internal organizational issues concerning the organization development strategy, ways of financing its activities as well as the improvement of the interaction with members were discussed during the meeting.
After the session, BCCI’s Secretary-General met Daniel Funes, Executive Vice-President at present and IOE President-to-be from 2014. Mr. Funes was acquainted with the amendments in the Public Disclosure of the Property of Senior Government Officials Act and expressed opposition in principle to the changes providing for the disclosure of the property of members of the management and supervisory bodies of the employers' organizations, NCTC members, and described them as a violation of the principle of independence of employers' organizations – adopted and observed as a world standard.
