BCCI has achieved its goals and plans for 2012 in service of business
During the regular Annual Meeting of the Management Board of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the 2012 Annual Report and the Programme for 2013 were adopted. It was noted that despite the difficult economic situation, the Chamber has managed to achieve its goals set in the previous Programme and to fulfill its financial plans. This should clear its path to successfully carrying out the plans for 2013.
One of the most important achievements of the previous year is that BCCI was once again recognized by the Council of Ministers as a nationally representative organization of employers for a new four-year period.
To meet the needs of businesses BCCI focused in its activities on raising the awareness of companies regarding the European legislation, the opportunities to participate in projects to enhance their competitiveness, as well as projects’ development, application and implementation. In this regard 33 workshops were held with 1300 participants. New key projects were attracted as well.
During 2012 in the field of foreign economic cooperation 178 meetings with 978 participants were organized as well as 13 international seminars and conferences with 513 participants.
To most businesses BCCI is the only organization in Bulgaria that provides business services in compliance with international standards (25394 documents were certified as well as 1590 declarations-invitations and 3458 certificate). The Court of Arbitration solved more than 40 international and 707 domestic cases.
The members of the Management Board participated very actively in the Meeting and a lot of new ideas and initiatives, which are important for achieving the goals of the Chamber, were added to the Programme for 2013.
