Tsvetan Simeonov: The Business urges above all for strict observance of the government regulations by the State
BCCI’s President Tsvetan Simeonov says in an interview for "Standard" Daily that the protests are a natural consequence of ignoring the need for transparency in the work of the state institutions and the negligence of such important achievements of civil society such as the National Council for Tripartite Cooperation. If not addressed in the tripartite council, the issues begin to be considered in the street. In this sense what has happened is not so unexpected but some of the excesses of the protest prove that the government has gone too far.
Tsvetan Simeonov emphasizes that the Business urges above all for strict observance of the government regulations by the State and protection of private property. It insists on preserving financial stability and compliance with the deadlines for payments to the private sector by the State.
BCCI’s President underlines that the political model is in the constitution - the same constitution which has enabled Bulgaria to implement reforms, to become a member of the EU, to gain recognition as a functioning market economy. What is more important is how the laws are enforced in this case and how they are observed by the citizens. We should guard against hasty decisions.
