BCCI marked 116 years since the establishment and 60 years since the re-establishment of the Arbitration Court at BCCI
BCCI celebrated 116-year Anniversary since the establishment and 60-year Anniversary since the re-establishment of the Arbitration Court at BCCI. The occasion was marked by a formal meeting attended by the Chairman of the High Court of Cassation Professor Lazar Gruev, the President of the Union of Lawyers in Bulgaria Vladislav Slavov, present and former constitutional judges, arbitrators, senior judges, experts at the Arbitration Court at BCCI. A lot of counterparts from foreign arbitration courts were guests at the event too.
At a special press conference the President of the Arbitration Court at BCCI Dr. Silvy Chernev, Prof. Dr. Ivan Vladimirov, a long-standing arbitrator and a member of the governing body of the Arbitration Court as well as young lawyers, trained by the Arbitration Court at BCCI presented the latest technological advantages of the Arbitration Court.
BCCI’s President Tsvetan Simeonov said that the establishment and the existence of the Arbitration Court in the period 1878 - 1945 was an achievement of great value not only for the Bulgarian legal system but turned out to be one of the most important reasons for the current state of arbitration in the Republic of Bulgaria in line with international standards and practice.
