BCCI welcomed representatives of the European Commission





The BCCI’s Vice President Georgi Stoev, accompanied by the analyst researchers of the Chamber, presented the perspective of the business focused on the problems and the opportunities for education, industry, commerce and administration. The European Commission (EC) representatives Victoria Petrova and Georg Raab from DG Enterprise and Industry, Elitsa Beiska from DG Regional Policy and Maria Kirova from DG Communication Networks and Technologies attended the meeting.

Mr. Georgi Stoev emphasized the discrepancies caused by the expectations of businesses on the one hand and the state of the education on the other hand, which have a negative impact on employment.
 
The BCCI’s Vice-President also highlighted the potential we have in the energy sector, food processing and logistics. He drew the attention to the situation of the small and medium sized enterprises in the country and the need of alleviation of the legislation and the introduction of electronic services. 
 
The representatives of the European Commission will use the information that the Chamber has provided to prepare the next report on the level of competitiveness in Bulgaria.
