The Ambassador of Morocco visited BCC

H. E. Mrs. Zakia El Midaoui, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Morocco in Sofia, visited BCCI and spoke with the President Tsvetan Simeonov. The meeting was also attended by Hafida Abougane, a journalist working for the Moroccan magazine “New Diplomatic World”, which is published in Arabic and French languages.

The bilateral trade and economic relations were discussed during the conversation. Due to the excellent cooperation between the institutions of the two countries at all levels and sectors, last year marked the 60th anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic relations between Morocco and Bulgaria.

Morocco is a destination of interest to Bulgaria. Despite the changes that have taken place in the countries of the Arab world, the Moroccan market has great potential and the Bulgarian products can find a place in it – not only for the traditional links in the past between the two countries but also for the favorable price-quality ratio. The Bulgarian companies are interested in participating at SIAM - the largest exhibition on the African continent in the field of the agriculture, farming and food industry. It is held under the patronage of the King of Morocco and it is an excellent opportunity to enter simultaneously on the market of Morocco and on the African continent countries, all in all.

Ambassador Zakia commented on the achieved indicators in the field of the bilateral trade, citing an example with the growing export of fodder (animal feed) from Bulgaria to the Kingdom.

BCCI collaborates with similar organizations in Morocco - the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services of Rabat (via signed cooperation agreement in 2001), the Association of Moroccan Exporters (ASMEX) and the General Federation of Moroccan Companies (SGEM).

The magazine “New Diplomatic World” will dedicate a special edition for Bulgaria, as it will also present information about BCCI. This topic was clarified during the meeting.
