Meeting with the Consul General of Bulgaria in Los Angeles

Only two months after the meeting of BCCI’s President Tsvetan Simeonov with Lyubka Kachakova, Trade Attaché of Bulgaria in Los Angeles, the economic relations Bulgaria - USA were again a topic of discussion at the Chamber. This time the talks were during a meeting with the newly appointed Consul General of Bulgaria in Los Angeles Boyko Hristov. He is currently the Head of the Situation Center at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and from December 2020 will head the Consulate General of Bulgaria on the West Coast of the United States and will be responsible for 12 American states.

Hristov got acquainted with the activity of the BCCI and received guidelines from the President for sharing up-to-date and practical information from the Chamber’s company register, the online newsletter “Infobusiness”, the ranking “TOP 100 companies leading in the Bulgarian economy” and the website of the Chamber.

The new consul presented his priorities, including working with the Bulgarian diaspora in the United States, consular services, as well as promoting bilateral cooperation in a number of areas, including economy.

He expressed readiness to support the work of the Bulgarian Club in Los Angeles and to help strengthen ties between companies.
