The newly-appointed Ambassador of the Argentine Republic to Bulgaria H.E. Alfredo Atanasoff visited BCCI. The President of the Chamber Tsvetan Simeonov met with the diplomat and the accompanying him representatives of the Embassy of Argentina in Sofia.
The Ambassador expressed readiness to support the development of the bilateral economic relations, in support of which a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between BCCI and the Argentine Chamber of Commerce during the visit of Bulgaria’s then Head of State Rosen Plevneliev to South America in 2016.
The President of BCCI pointed out the Chamber’s excellent cooperation with the Embassy of Argentina in Sofia. A few days ago, Tsvetan Simeonov presented the Ambassador of Argentina in Sofia H.E. Alberto Trueba with an Honorary Diploma on the occasion of the end of his term of office.
Ambassador Atanasoff said that he had started meetings with Bulgarian companies that have business relations with Argentine partners. He recently met with Plamen Pavlov, Chairman of the Bulgarian Gas Association. Meetings with importers of agricultural machinery, copper ore, etc. are forthcoming. The diplomat mentioned that Bulgaria has translated the most books by Argentine authors.
Simeonov explained the possibilities of Bulgarian companies in sectors such as: energy, renewable energy, water treatment, trenchless technologies, machines for processing of agricultural products, and others.
It was agreed to organize online business events of an informative nature and for the purpose of holding bilateral business meetings.
