BCCI hosted the first meeting for 2017 of the Club of Joint and Foreign Chambers, which was officially opened by the President of BCCI Tsvetan Simeonov. He presented the main achievements of BCCI in 2016, emphasizing the formalization of BCCI’s accession to the International Certificates of Origin Accreditation Chain at the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC – Paris), the recognition of the Chamber as a nationally representative employers’ organization, and the organized business delegations.
The results and information materials of a survey conducted by BCCI on the activities of the Club of Joint and Foreign Chambers were presented. In order to enrich and expand the current practice of Club, the following proposals were made:
To continue the rotation hosting of the meetings of the Club
The Club to continue functioning without the payment of a membership fee
To maintain the data base of registered joint chambers on BCCI’s website
To establish a “News from Joint Chambers” section in BCCI’s daily newsletter – “InfoBusiness”
To organize meetings at least 4 meetings of the Club of Joint and Foreign Chambers a year
To invite representatives of the public institutions as lecturers during the Club’s meetings.
The members of the Club of Joint and Foreign Chambers got acquainted to the new updated public version of BCCI’s Unified Voluntary Trade Register, which will soon be officially launched.
The Iranian – Bulgarian Business Association proposed to host the next meeting of the Club of Joint and Foreign Chambers in July 2017.
