BCCI took part in the March Plenary Session of EESC
The Vice-President of BCCI Georgy Stoev took part in the March Plenary Session of the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) which was held on 18 and 19 March 2015 in Brussels.
On 18 March, at the European Commission building the Better Regulation Programme was presented and a review of inter-institutional cooperation was made by the First Vice-President of the European Commission, responsible for better regulation, inter-institutional relations, the rule of law and the Charter of Fundamental Rights Mr. Frans Timmermans.
On the second plenary day a thematic debate was held on the opinion of the specialised ECO Section “An investment plan for Europe”, with the participation of the Vice-President of the European Commission, responsible for jobs, growth, investment and competitiveness Jyrki Katainen.
During the session a number of important documents and communications to the European Commission, the European Parliament, the Council, the European Central Bank, the European Economic and Social Committee, the Committee of the Regions and the European Investment Bank were discussed, among which “An Investment Plan for Europe”, “Economic governance review”, “The role of sustainable development and the involvement of civil society in stand-alone investment agreements between the EU and third countries”.
