The Ambassador of Indonesia H.E. Bunyan Saptomo and the newly appointed Commercial Counselor of Indonesia Mrs. Amita Pramasufi visited BCCI and met with its President Tsvetan Simeonov. The aim of the work visit was to introduce the newly appointed Commercial Counselor and to discuss the bilateral relations between Bulgaria and Indonesia and opportunities to increase the number of joint initiatives of the Chamber and the Embassy of Indonesia.
The organization of a joint business event was discussed – a visit from an Indonesian trade mission in the period 3rd – 5th May 2015. The mission is expected to be headed by the Deputy Minister of Trade and to include representatives of the Ministry of Investments and about 20 Indonesian businessmen. On 4th May a business forum will be held with bilateral meetings with companies from the most competitive sectors of Indonesian economy: furniture industry, production of palm oil, coffee, cocoa, rubber, paper and hand-made products. On 5th May the delegation will visit Varna to attend the opening of an Indonesian business center. BCCI expressed readiness for the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Varna to also take part in the programme by organizing a business forum in the region.
