The new Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba visited BCCI
Special invitation was extended to Bulgarian companies to participate in the International Fair that will take place in Havana in November this year
The newly-appointed Ambassador of Cuba to Bulgaria H.E. Pedro Pablo San Jorge and the BCCI President Tsvetan Simeonov discussed opportunities for improving the economic relations between the two countries at a meeting held at BCCI. Ideas for establishing active cooperation between BCCI and the Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Cuba were discussed. The guest proposed a draft partnership agreement between the two organizations.
In the course of discussion, the existence of potential for growth of bilateral trade was noted. According to Ambassador San Jorge, Bulgaria may export wheat, sausages, wine, powder milk, shoes and other products to Cuba. Promoting partnerships in the field of tourism and power engineering is envisaged, as well as opening Cuba to international markets.

The Ambassador informed BCCI about a new investment promotion act adopted in the Latin American country. During the meeting, the parties agreed to organize an information event to present investment and trade opportunities in Cuba.
