Opportunities for increased trade and economic cooperation with Nigeria were discussed at the BCCI
Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Nigeria in Romania, and accredited to Bulgaria, H.E. Okechuku Fidelis Muoh met with the President of the BCCI Tsvetan Simeonov.
Further joint initiatives to support and expand bilateral relations were subject to discussion. Nigeria is Bulgaria's strategic partner in Africa. Bulgaria's membership in the EU and Nigeria's established authoritative role and influence in the continent bring new opportunities for further diversification of the bilateral relations in any forms. Bulgaria is able to provide competent technical assistance and participation in the construction of a modern infrastructure in Nigeria. And currently, Nigerian companies use the labor force and skills of our computer specialists, installers, doctors, energy experts, engineers and geologists.
Ambassador Muoh said that a Nigerian business delegation is planned to come to Bulgaria next year. BCCI's President expressed willingness on behalf of the Chamber to fully cooperate in the preparation and realization of the visit, as well as in finding reliable Bulgarian business partners.
