The President of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry held a series of meetings within his working visit to Norway







The President of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Tsvetan Simeonov, held a series of meetings within his working visit to Oslo in the period 22nd – 24th October 2013. The visit was realized under the project “TRUST”– Transparency for sustainable social policy, implemented with the financial support of the Fund for Decent Work and Tripartite Dialogue within the Norwegian Financial Mechanism.
 
BCCI’s President met with Mr. Henrik Munthe, General Counsellor at the Confederation of Norwegian Enterprise (NHO). The talks were focused on the experience of the Norwegian partner in the field of the tripartite cooperation and the social dialogue, as well as on the possibilities for applying it in Bulgaria. 
 
During the meeting were presented results of the project on the basis of made analyses by the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, on the tripartite dialogue in Bulgaria regarding the regulatory framework, transparency and publicity; the features of the collective bargaining and the impact of the minimum insurance thresholds on the labour market.
 
The President of the Chamber, Mr. Tsvetan Simeonov, had also talks with  the Vice-President and the Director of the company of Тelenor Group, who described the experience of the Norwegian company in the field of the social dialogue. They discussed the specifics of the business environment in Bulgaria, as well as the hindrances before the foreign investors in our country. It is relevant to remind that Telenor Group has recently acquired the Bulgarian Mobile Operator GLOBUL. 
 
The program of the visit of the President of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry included meetings with representatives of the Norwegian Confederation of the Trade Unions and GS1 Norway as well.
