The European Group for Arbitration meets in Sofia at BCCI
The Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) is hosting today, 4th October 2013, the Annual working session of the European Group for Arbitration. The meeting is organized by the International Chamber of Commerce – Paris, jointly with the Court of Arbitration at BCCI. This session is part of the events dedicated to the 60th anniversary of renewing the activity of the Court of Arbitration in 1953, and the 116th anniversary of arbitration activities within the structure of the Chamber.
The meeting is attended by prominent lawyers – arbiters from the European arbitration institutions, but also from Canada, Ukraine, Moldova and other members of the European Group for Arbitration. Organizer of the meeting is the International Chamber of Commerce – Paris.
The session’s agenda is focused on discussing current matters related to the activities of the arbitration institutions, sharing common problems from the experience of the arbiters and the ways of solving them, in order to strengthen the role of the arbitration as a modern way of settling commercial disputes between parties, both nationally and internationally.
The session of the European Group for Arbitration in Sofia was opened by the President of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Tsvetan Simeonov.
