Building of Sofia – Bozhurishte economic area has started
BCCI’s Secretary-General Vassil Todorov was one of the official guests to the groundbreaking ceremony initiated for the building of Sofia – Bozhurishte economic area. Two first sods were made with the personal involvement of the President of Bulgaria Rosen Plevneliev – one for building a factory, property of the German company Behr-Hella Thermocontrol (BHTC) and another for establishing an infrastructure.
"We are witnesses to the first groundbreaking of an industrial area which can visualize the future of Bulgaria“, stated the President Plevneliev during the ceremony. He defined the project as symbol of integrated endeavors and vision of the Bulgarian institutions. “In this industrial area, air conditioning systems will be produced for manufacturers like “Volkswagen”, “General Motors”, “Audi”, “Mercedes”, as well as for unique brands like “Lamborghini”, “Porsche” and many more”, added the Head of state.
“We are in partnership with an investor who has searched through many countries and answered the purpose of his choice for a factory with the utmost care. It is a very serious investment of over 42 million BGN“, stated the President and expressed his special thanks to the Executive Director of the Bulgarian company named “Industrial areas”, Valeri Andreev.
“Bulgaria is a consecutive step for BHTC in Eastern Europe and it will become an important pillar to the entire strategy of the company“, stated Thomas Schulte in his capacity of Behr-Hella Thermocontrol’s General Executive Director and added that in Sofia – Bozhurishte economic area not only a new Bulgarian factory will arise but a new scientific and research centre will be established.
