More than 35 Bulgarian companies took part in the Bulgarian-Romanian business forum





 

BCCI hosted a Bulgarian - Romanian Business Forum, organized jointly with the Embassy of Bulgaria in Bucharest, the Bucharest Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Sofia Municipality, the Ministry of Economy, Energy and Tourism, and "Enterprise Europe Network" - the largest consulting network in support of SMEs.

Vasil Todorov, BCCI’s Secretary-General, who inaugurated the forum, said that the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as well as the partners of the Bucharest Chamber of Commerce and Industry, aim to promote businesses and one way to achieve this task was organizing similar events in cooperation with counterpart foreign chambers, as well as in partnership with state and municipal institutions.

Sofia Mayor Yordanka Fandakova noted that in the last couple of years Sofia Municipality had managed to invest EU funds in infrastructure, investments in medical equipment and video surveillance still being prepared. A reduction of 15% of fees for sidewalk right is also being envisaged according to the Mayor.

Bucharest Mayor, Sorin Oprescu said that our country had managed to absorb the EU funds and utilize them for investments in infrastructure.

Sorin Dimitriou, Vice - President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania and President of the Bucharest Chamber of Commerce and Industry presented the sectors of the companies in the business delegation.

H.Exc. Mr. Anton Pakuretu, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Romania in Sofia, thinks the development of political and economic relations between Bulgaria and Romania is excellent.

More than 35 Bulgarian companies participated in the bilateral meetings with the purpose of finding potential partners among Romanian companies.
