Facilitated Issuance of Business Visas for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
On 16 December 2011 at BCCI, the annual meeting of the Bulgarian – Saudi Business Council (BSBC) was held. The President of BCCI, Mr. Simeonov opened the meeting with gratitude to H.E. Saleh Al-Ghamdi, former Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Athens also responsible for Bulgaria.
Ambassador Al-Ghamdi helped establish the Bulgarian – Saudi Business Council and assisted its successful work during its first year of existence. Mr. Nikolay Filipov, President of BSBC presented a report on the activities of the Council in 2011 and outlined the most important priorities and events to be organized in the following year 2012.
Representatives of the Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Athens Mr. Meshal Al-Rogi, Consul and Mr. Saad Al-Mimoni, First Secretary also participated in the meeting. Mr. Al-Rogi provided information about the new facilitated visa regime for Bulgarian citizen, which will enter into force in 2012. Bulgarian citizens will obtain business visas for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia directly in Bulgaria without having to visit the Embassy in Athens.
