BCCI and the Chamber of Commerce of Tajikistan signed Cooperation Agreement

The Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tajikistan signed Cooperation Agreement on 15th December. The President of BCCI Tsvetan Simeonov and the representative of CCI Tajikistan to our country Hushvaht Rahmihudoev agreed cooperation between the two chambers to start with an active exchange of information about trade, investments, tourism and other sectors of economy.

Mr. Rahmihudoev explained that Tajikistan has significant water resources. 97% of the country’s territory is taken up by the high mountain ridges of Pamir and Altai. The Central Asian republic pays a lot of attention to hydro energy and is looking for investors for already developed projects for the construction of hydroelectric power plants.

In addition to the traditionally exported goods, our country could expand export to Tajikistan with a number of new products. An interest has been expressed to Bulgarian wines, equipment and technologies for vegetable and fruit processing. Bulgarian companies could participate in investment projects for the construction of vegetable and fruit processing factories.
