New initiatives to intensify the cooperation with Bosnia and Herzegovina

The newly appointed Ambassador of Bulgaria to Bosnia and Herzegovina H.E. Valeri Yotov visited the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and talked with the Secretary General of the Chamber Vasil Todorov.

During the meeting, the good cooperation between BCCI and the Chamber of Commerce of Bosnia and Herzegovina within the Association of Balkan Chambers (ABC) was discussed. It was noted with satisfaction that the two chambers also maintain good relations on various projects related to the 17 + 1 initiative "Cooperation between China and the Central and Eastern European countries".

The current situation related to the energy crisis and the possibilities for interconnection of the gas transmission networks of the two countries were discussed. The existing good opportunity for joint ventures between business partners from both countries and the joint application for EU funding, based on Bulgaria’s experience an EU member state, was noted.

Vasil Todorov and the Ambassador agreed that the team of the Bulgarian Embassy in Sarajevo together with BCCI will organize an online information forum in the near future on investment opportunities in both countries. BCCI will additionally inform its members and partners about the exact period of the event.
