Philippe Kupfer, Commercial Counsellor at the Austrian Embassy in Sofia, visited BCCI and spoke with President Tsvetan Simeonov.
The main topic of discussion was the opportunities for cooperation between BCCI and the diplomatic mission of Austria in view of the current political situation and business climate. Simeonov and Kupfer expressed hope that the conditions for realization of joint initiatives between business representatives from both countries will continue to be favourable. Austria is one of the leading investors in Bulgaria
Among the other topics discussed during the meeting were the Recovery and Resilience Mechanism, attracting new investments and digitalization of business. Particular attention was paid to the long-standing Austrian project to promote dual education in Bulgaria and the plans to develop training programs in the field of "green" construction and energy efficiency.
During the meeting, the President of the Chamber presented the activities of BCCI and the services it provides in support of business. The President focused on the Unified Trade Register of BCCI, its voluntary membership system, and the registration of trade representation offices of foreign entities.
For his part, the Austrian Commercial Counsellor presented the Embassy's plans to hold a series of events this year with the participation of business delegations from Austria to meet potential Bulgarian partners.
