The trade and economic relations with Spain are developing successfully

During a meeting at the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry H.E. Alejandro Polanco Mata, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Spain to Bulgaria introduced the new Head of the Commercial Office at the Embassy in Sofia - Roberto Ruiz. The President of BCCI Tsvetan Simeonov discussed a number of topics with the diplomats, including the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic on the economies of the two countries, given the fact that Spain has been severely affected by the disease.

Ambassador Mata noted that contacts with Spain are excellent but more can be done to inform businesses from both countries of existing opportunities.

Roberto Ruiz presented areas in which the cooperation between Bulgaria and Spain has great potential, especially in sectors such as automotive industry, construction and management of transport infrastructure (railways, tunnel construction), renewable energy, water resources management and others.
